On the actual day of Taylee's birthday we (Taylee, Stan, and me) always go to a restuarant of her choice. Since she turned three that has been Macaroni Grill. I think we were eating there once and it was someone's birthday and they got sung to in Italian. That was enough to hook Taylee. She goes to Mac Grill so she can eat macaroni and cheese and get sung to in Italian.
The day after Taylee's birthday we had a small, family party.
The day after the small, family party we had a large kid party. Seventeen children in my house. It's amazing. That could not have happened last year. This year the theme was puppies. We did a craft that didn't turn out very well but kept the kids busy long enough for everyone to arrive. We did a puppy scavenger hunt and then we played games and danced to music. The kids were wonderful, the parents that stayed to help (including Carol) were amazing, and the party was overall successful.
I can't imagine ever having that many kids over at one time again, but still, overall, successful :-)
